I am happy to announce that Kylie Buckham a fantastic soprano, incredible girl, soprano, highschooler just won state vocal solo finals! The first time I've heard her when she came to rehears her pieces with me beforhand.
I couldn't believe my ears. Her silver tone, fast vibrato, determined and articulated interpretation reminded me of old vinyl recordings I grew up listening. It's hard to overestimate the ability to deliver music like your own piece of heart, because this is where the genuine art happens. My congratulations on her truly unique talent. I'm so glad to be a part of this event!
